Dryer Vent Cleaning in Downtown Austin
Clothes taking two cycles? The vent is probably packed with lint, and lint buildup is the leading cause of home dryer fires. I clean the whole run, from the back of the dryer to where it leaves the building.
- Clothes need more than one cycle
- Dryer or clothes very hot at the end
- Burning or musty smell
- Lint collecting around the door
- Laundry room gets humid

Before and after
Why high-rise vents clog faster
In a house, the vent usually runs a few feet straight out a wall. In a downtown tower it can run a long way through walls and ceilings, with several turns, before it reaches the outside. Every foot and every bend is a place for lint to settle, and most owners can't see where their vent ends.
That's why cleaning just the hose behind the dryer misses most of the problem, and why I use reverse suction air-jetting on long runs.
